SUCCEED Sponsored Riders Update: Aug/Sept 2013

Chris KingChris King - April 2013

Chris took Billy Bounce to compete against a very high standard of riders and young horses at Blenheim CIC3* 8/9 yr olds and was well rewarded with a very pleasing 15th place. Billy Bounce did one of the best tests in the section and just rolled one pole in the show jumping. He provided a foot perfect cross country though, over a tough and technical course but Chris wisely decided to go for a good clear in Bounce’s very first 3* over chasing the time. This 8 yr old by Cevin Z is bound to be one to watch next season. Chris now heads off to Ligniere CCI2* in France with Step Along Style and GI Master Caster – Good luck Chris and the team!

Blair - Bill Levett SILKSTONEBill Levett

Bill also had a fabulous outing at Blenheim, recording a superb 4th place with Improvise in the CIC3* 8/9yr olds. Improvise did his best test to date and only added 3.2 time penalties to a super double clear. Improvise had a good run at Blair CIC3* only a couple of weeks prior to Blenheim, finishing 14th. Just a little greenness in the show jumping led to a couple of poles down but a great run cross country. Bill now intends to give Improvise a bit of a break now before coming back out next year with 4* in mind.

Silkstone also clocked up his best dressage to date at Blair in the CCI3*, and added only a fraction of a time penalty XC to result in 3rd place. Bill was thrilled with how these horses performed and recovered, even after the 9 hour road trip and has no doubts that Succeed helped the horses cope with all the traveling and competing.

It was great to see Lucinda still competing at the very top of the sport, and in outstanding company at Blenheim CCI3*. This year’s Blenheim International three day was packed with the highest calibre of horse and rider and tested all on their accuracy, endurance, technicality and bravery. Cry Freedom flew foot perfect around the cross country, enjoying every minute but just rolled a few poles in the show jumping to result in 27th place overall. Well done Lucinda and Cry Freedom! Badminton next year

We are very proud to welcome Rosanna Walters-Symons to Team Succeed in the UK. Rosanna competes very successfully in Advanced Single Pony Carriage Driving with National championship wins to her name as well as having represented team GB Internationally.

Rosanna has just defended her Advanced Pony National Champion 2012 title in very tough competition at Ashfields Carriage and Polo Club last week.

Rosanna produced a clear drive in the cones with just 1.56 time penalties to maintain her overnight standing of 2nd place and become 2013 Reserve National Champion. Most importantly this result at Ashfields means that Rosanna has qualified to represent Great Britain at the Combined Pony World Championships in Pau, France, at the end of October.

Rosanna tells us:

“I began using SUCCEED® after consultation with my vet, in an attempt to support the digestive health of my top competition pony, Dabernon Tiger Woods. At the time, it was not uncommon to find undigested grains in his manure. This strongly suggested to us that his digestive system could use additional support and nutrition, most likely a consequence of the challenges of top-level training and competition coupled with an un-natural cereal concentrated diet.

SUCCEED is easy to administer – I have used both the paste and the granules – and it has helped give Bailey the benefits of optimal digestive health. It’s obvious it has helped through visibly improved condition and better behaviour in this normally grumpy pony. He is more amenable to work and handle and I feel that he now gains more from his hard feed, giving that little extra to allow us to train and perform with more intensity than before.

SUCCEED has undoubtedly played a part in my recent success!”

Welcome to team Succeed Rosanna!
