Team Levett End of Season Update

Bill Levett and Scarlett O Hara, Withington 2016

Many thanks to Team SUCCEED eventer Bill Levett for this end-of-season update. We wish you and your horses the best as you rest and prepare for the 2017 season to come.

“SUCCEED has been a vital part of the rehabilitation of Dotty who has been a great patient since breaking a bone in her knee at Tattersalls earlier in the year. Dotty has had to undergo a prolonged period of boxrest post-surgery and to allow her knee to heal. She has always been a tricky horse to stable; SUCCEED has helped as part of her management to ensure her gut health. Dotty is now back in work and we are looking forward to her being back doing what she loves best – jumping – in 2017.

“At the end of a long and productive season full of ups and downs, I am lucky enough to have a stable of healthy horses who have all held their condition and fitness well. SUCCEED plays a big role in helping my team and I to keep the horses in the best of health, allowing me to focus on riding them to the best of their abilities.

“It’s been a year of ups and downs for Team Levett, with strong performances in the first half of the season seeing us qualified and short listed with two horses for the Olympics. Sadly we were not named on the team, but were as the traveling reserve. But worse was to come as two days before we boarded the plane Alex pulled a muscle. Despite coming sound within a week, it was too late to be on the flight. It was a bitter pill to swallow after many years of preparation – but that is horses. The good news Alex is in good form and already in work with my focus firmly on ensuring a top placing at Badminton in the spring.

Cheers,

Bill”
